New FedEx Express facility in Kielce connects local businesses with global markets

Thanks to the use of a state-of-the-art sorter and a strategic location, the facility supports local businesses in their domestic and international expansion.

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world's largest express transportation company, has opened a new warehouse and office facility in Kielce. Thanks to the use of a state-of-the-art sorter and a strategic location, the facility supports local businesses in their domestic and international expansion.

The new facility in Kielce covers an area of over 2,600 sqm and includes both warehouse and office space. Operations are conducted through 40 bays for courier vehicles and five for line-haul vehicles. The state-of-the-art automatic sorter can simultaneously scan and weigh up to 2,000 packages per hour. Freight shipments are handled in a separate part of the warehouse, equipped with a specialized scale and scanner.

The facility is strategically located at the exit of the S7 route, offering convenient connections to both the rest of the country and Europe. The location also offers a convenient connection to the Katowice airport, from which international shipments are sent to Asia or North America.

Thanks to above-average economic growth, Central and Eastern Europe remains the region with the greatest development potential. Since 2020, FedEx Express has expanded, modernized, or built 12 facilities in six countries in the region. In Poland alone, new FedEx facilities have been built in Gdańsk, Toruń, Kalisz, and Jelenia Góra.
