Accolade - an international investor, has obtained 29.5 million euros net in financing from BNP Paribas Bank Polska for the development of the modern industrial park Park Szczecin VI, located in the Dunikowo Special Economic Zone.
Park Szczecin VI is an example of our expansion in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship and Accolade's response to the growing demand for sustainable industrial facilities -says Joanna Sinkiewicz, Group Commercial Director and Managing Director at Accolade Polska.
The facility will have over 54,000 sqm of space and represents another step in the implementation of Accolade's strategy, which aims to invest in sustainable industrial parks that support the long-term economic development of the region.
We want to meet the needs of tenants in this regard and, thanks to solutions supporting energy efficiency and environmental care, provide users of our facilities with long-term optimization and flexibility in the face of changing economic conditions. At the same time, we support the development of local communities - said Joanna Sinkiewicz, Group Commercial Director and Managing Director at Accolade Polska.
Obtaining financing from BNP Paribas Bank was possible, among other things, on the basis of the Green Finance Framework developed by the investor, i.e., guidelines that Accolade commits to follow when implementing its projects. This document is in line with the EU taxonomy and Green Loan Principles.
We are proud to support our long-standing client, Accolade, in the implementation of another investment in Poland. As a leader in sustainable financing, we are particularly interested in participating in projects characterized by high energy efficiency. The Accolade project fully fits into our strategy and we are happy to be a part of it - said Elżbieta Chmielowska, Director of the Real Estate Financing Office, BNP Paribas Bank Polska.
Like all new facilities in the Accolade portfolio, Park Szczecin VI will be certified according to the BREEAM system, with the intention of obtaining the highest rating – Outstanding.
The project will use modern solutions to optimize energy use, such as
After the completion of works, the building will be subjected to an airtightness test and thermography to confirm the quality of workmanship. The building's primary energy demand will be over 80 percent lower than national requirements. This will be the eighth Accolade park in Europe with such a high rating, and the third in Poland.
Park Szczecin VI is being implemented in the Build-to-Suit (BTS) formula, for a leading European discount chain, to fully meet the tenant's operational needs.
The total area of the facility will be over 54,000 sqm, of which:
Due to its purpose, the building will also meet strict fire safety requirements, significantly exceeding the standards applicable to standard facilities.
Accolade, as the largest investor in modern warehouse space in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, is consistently strengthening its position, already offering over 417,000 sqm of space in five parks.
In accordance with the company's long-term strategy, the target investment portfolio in this region is to reach 900,000 sqm, thereby supporting economic development and the local community.
