Construction of City Point Okęcie has been ceremoniously launched – a modern facility whose sole tenant will be Welcome Airport Services. The investment is being developed thanks to the cooperation of Peakside Capital Advisors and Partners Group, and it is distinguished by innovative solutions in the field of energy efficiency, water management, and ecological construction.
Completion of construction is planned for Q3 2025.
During the ceremonial cornerstone laying ceremony at City Point Okęcie, representatives of key companies involved in the project's implementation were present. The project investor is Peakside Capital Advisors together with Partners Group.
Welcome Airport Services, which, in connection with its dynamic development, plans to create a CARGO terminal within it for handling international shipments. General contracting for the investment was entrusted to Depenbrock Polska. In the process of preparing and implementing the project, the investor is supported by: ONE Architekci (a design studio specializing in industrial facilities), City Corsite (a consulting firm responsible for investment preparation), and 2MPM (supervision of construction work implementation and schedule).
City Point Okęcie is a Build-to-Suit (BTS) project, covering over 11,000 sq m of warehouse and office space. It has been designed to meet high environmental standards.
- City Point Okęcie will certainly be one of the most technologically advanced urban logistics parks in Warsaw, but it will also belong to the global forefront of ecological projects. Sustainable development is our priority. Thanks to a holistic approach to design, "future-proof" solutions will be applied in the building, which will ensure its operational efficiency and protect against potential damage due to climate change - says Roman Skowroński, Managing Director of Peakside Capital Advisors in Poland.
- As a company operating in the aviation industry, we are perfectly aware of the impact of air transport on the environment. Therefore, our mission is not only to provide high-quality services but also to take action for sustainable development and environmental protection. Participation in the City Point Okęcie project is a natural step in achieving these goals. This investment is an example of how modern technologies and ecological solutions can coexist with the development of a dynamic aviation sector - emphasizes Radosław Żuk, Vice President of Welcome Airport Services.
- Already at the concept stage, it was clear that we were dealing with an ambitious project, requiring excellent organization and full commitment from all parties – from the investor, through the designers, to the contractor. The realization of the facility in the immediate vicinity of the International Airport, with an intensive schedule of activities, including the winter period, constitutes a real logistical and engineering challenge. It requires precise coordination of work and the highest quality of execution - adds Marcin Popek, Project Manager at Depenbrock Polska.
One of the key goals is to reduce the operational carbon footprint through the use of renewable energy sources. The facility will be equipped with an advanced Building Management System (BMS), which will allow for monitoring and optimizing energy and water consumption, as well as modern LED lighting, ensuring low energy consumption and work comfort.
Advanced water management solutions will be implemented at City Point Okęcie. One of the key elements is a system for saving drinking water by using collected rainwater for sanitary purposes. The area around the investment will be greened using native species of plants, shrubs, trees, and grasses, which are resistant to local weather conditions and do not require additional irrigation.
