Rohlig SUUS Logistics is launching a modern logistics center in Szczecin, which is to serve both the domestic market and international destinations – primarily Scandinavia and Western Europe.

The facility with an area of approximately 15.5 thousand sqm combines the functions of a warehouse and a transshipment terminal, integrating operations previously conducted in several locations.

Warehouse and cross-dock in one place

The new center was designed as a comprehensive logistics hub:

  • approx. 12 thousand sqm is occupied by the warehouse part,
  • nearly 3 thousand sqm is allocated for the transshipment terminal,
  • there are 22 docks available and a 40-meter-long ramp,
  • the facility offers approx. 13 thousand pallet places.

The start of operations is planned for the second half of May.

Strategic location for international transport

The hub was built near the S3 and A6 routes, which ensures efficient connections:

  • with the rest of Poland,
  • with Western European markets,
  • with Scandinavian countries.

The proximity of seaports and developed transport infrastructure strengthen the role of Szczecin as an important point in European supply chains.

Wide range of logistics services

The new center will serve companies from various sectors, offering, among others:

  • warehousing (rack and block),
  • customs service,
  • consolidation of sea containers,
  • additional services, such as labeling, co-packing, or preparation of promotional sets.

An important element of the activity will also be:

  • regular groupage connections to Sweden and Norway,
  • „last mile” deliveries, including services with bringing in and assembling goods.

Automation and further development

The company plans further investments in this location, including the implementation of the AutoStore system, which will allow to increase the efficiency of warehouse operations.

Plans also include the development of customs services and adapting the facility to handle food products and pet food.

New jobs and ecological solutions

The investment will translate into an increase in employment in the region. The facility also includes:

  • office spaces (approx. 1,200 sqm),
  • rest zones for drivers.

The building meets high environmental standards:

  • certification BREEAM Excellent,
  • photovoltaic installation (50 kWp),
  • utilities management system,
  • infrastructure for electric vehicles.

Szczecin as the logistics gate of the north

The new investment by Rohlig SUUS Logistics confirms the growing role of Szczecin as one of the key logistics hubs in the northern part of Europe.

Thanks to the combination of road and sea transport and the proximity of foreign markets, the city strengthens its position as a distribution point for companies operating in multiple markets simultaneously.
