New tenant at Panattoni Park Poznań IX

Panattoni is starting construction of a new distribution facility as part of Panattoni Park Poznań IX. Rhenus Logistics S.A., part of the Rhenus Group, will occupy 18,000 sq m in it. The facility will be ready for use in June next year.

The warehouse and logistics market in Greater Poland is the fifth largest in the country. This is due to both the enormous economic potential of the region – Greater Poland has always been one of the most economically developed areas in Poland – and its proximity to the western border: "Poznań lies halfway between Warsaw and Berlin. At the same time, as an academic center, it has attractive access to a high number of qualified employees and graduates. All this, along with the city's excellent transport links, means that warehouses in this region enjoy huge interest from tenants," says Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director at Panattoni.

Panattoni Park Poznań IX is another distribution center from the developer that expands the Greater Poland portfolio by 80,000 sq m of modern warehouse space. It includes two facilities, one of which – with an area of 39,400 sq m – is already completed and almost fully leased. The second is under construction. It will have nearly 41,000 sq m, of which 18,000 sq m (including 987 sq m of office space) will be occupied by Rhenus Logistics S.A. The company provides comprehensive solutions in the field of contract logistics, road, sea, and air transport. In the area of warehouse solutions in Poland, Rhenus specializes in logistics services for the e-commerce channel as part of dedicated projects, as well as "multi-user" type projects.

This is yet another example of cooperation between Rhenus and Panattoni. "The decision regarding the new location in Poznań was dictated by the dynamic development of our company. On one hand, it will enable us to serve both domestic customers and ensure efficient distribution to European markets. On the other hand, as we have experienced, the developer is a guarantor that the solutions applied in the facility will be friendly to the environment and the employees working there," says Sławomir Kossakowski, Member of the Board at Rhenus Logistics S.A. One of the non-standard solutions will be the developer increasing the hall height to 11.5 m. The facility will also be adapted for cross-dock transshipments and will meet all requirements for BREEAM certification at the "Very Good" level.

A transport bonus. Panattoni Park Poznań IX is located in Tarnowo Podgórne near Poznań, right next to the junction of national road no. 92 and the Western Poznań Bypass, which is part of the S11 expressway. It is also close to the A2 motorway junction - Poznań Zachód. Such a location creates an excellent opportunity not only for domestic but also international operations. The A2 motorway is a strategic road connecting Poznań with two of the most important logistics centers – Łódź and Warsaw – while simultaneously providing a direct connection to Berlin and Western Europe. Poznań also has a good connection to Wrocław thanks to the S5 national road. Other important factors are numerous rail connections and the Poznań-Ławica international airport.
