New tenant in a distribution center in Szczecin-Goleniów
PGD, a distributor of products for bakeries, confectioneries, and ice cream parlors, has occupied approximately 2,000 sqm of production and warehouse space along with social facilities at the Waimea Airport Logistics Park Szczecin-Goleniów investment.
We decided to move our logistics operations to a distribution center located just about 13 km from our previous location. We chose the area near the airport in Goleniów, which significantly increases our operational capabilities and optimizes distribution processes. The new distribution center also allows us to select additional space and plan further expansion. This is a key step in our development strategy, which will enable us to manage our logistics operations in a more scalable way – explains Monika Pęksa, Logistics and Administration Director at PGD.PGD has occupied over 2,000 sqm of warehouse space, which will be complemented by an office of 165 sqm.
Waimea Airport Logistics Park Szczecin-Goleniów is a logistics center with an area of 7.5 thousand sqm. The park is located at the Szczecin-Goleniów Airport and in the immediate vicinity of a railway station, connected to the S6 and S3 expressways and the A6 motorway. It is located 8 km from the center of Goleniów and about 30 km from Szczecin.
Along with the already initiated actions to improve infrastructure, such as upgrading the ILS category to cat. II with the involvement of European Commission funds from the CEF fund implemented by CINEA and the expansion of the passenger terminal, the Szczecin – Goleniów airport will become an even more attractive airport for subsequent entrepreneurs.
