Frigo Logistics has started construction of a new warehouse complex in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. The first stage of the investment will be commissioned in October 2024. The company has signed an agreement with the general contractor, which is Kajima Poland.
– The investment in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki is one of the key elements of a broader investment plan worth 200 million PLN, which we will implement in the coming years. We entrusted the construction of our new distribution center to Kajima Poland with the conviction that the experience of its specialists in delivering large industrial facilities and their professionalism will allow for the completion of this demanding project on time. We will carry out the first warehouse operations in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki as early as October 2024 – emphasized
Kris Verbruggen, CEO of Frigo Logistics, during the contract signing ceremony with the general contractor.
The complex, which is being built by Kajima Poland, will be the 11th location for Frigo Logistics in Poland and an important point in the development of its distribution network. Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki is located a short distance from Warsaw, which will significantly increase the operator's logistics capabilities in central Poland. The companies Kajima Poland and Frigo Logistics have already collaborated on, among other things, the construction and further expansion of the cold store in Radomsko in 2019.
The Frigo Logistics investment is a very interesting project, especially from a technological perspective. Building a cold storage warehouse is a complex process, much more demanding than classic warehouse or production halls. We are pleased that Frigo Logistics has entrusted Kajima Poland with the implementation of another project and we believe that our experience will allow for the timely completion of the investment – said Maciej Runkiewicz, CEO of Kajima Poland.
On a plot of 5.4 thousand sqm, a complex of 6 buildings with a total area of 9.5 thousand sqm is being built. The largest will be a fully automatic self-supporting warehouse with a capacity of 15 thousand pallet spaces, planned for the second stage of the investment. It will offer 12 storage levels, and its usable height will reach 32 m. The complex will include a distribution warehouse with a capacity of 6 thousand pallet spaces and a dispatch zone with 11 loading docks, as well as buildings serving as technical and social-office facilities.
The modern distribution center in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki will be a flagship investment for Frigo Logistics. It is part of a broader investment plan for the company, which will allocate over 200 million PLN to business development in the coming years. Due to growing market needs, Frigo Logistics also intends to expand its existing facility in Żnin next.
As a logistics operator for deep-frozen products, Frigo Logistics currently has ten locations. The warehouse under construction in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki will be the operator's next location. The company's comprehensive logistics services include: goods receipt, storage, order picking, co-packing, dispatch, transport, and distribution.
