NewCold expands its operations in Poland

NewCold, a rapidly growing company specializing in advanced food logistics, has announced that it is building a state-of-the-art warehouse worth 112 million euro in Nowy Modlin near Warsaw.

This will be the second NewCold facility in Poland.

"We see the potential for Poland to become a major European food logistics hub. This is the future we want to help build. Our new facility near Warsaw, combined with our existing location in Kutno, increases our ability to meet customer needs in key markets across Central and Eastern Europe," said Bram Hage, founder and CEO of NewCold.

To realize the vision of building one of the most advanced automated warehouses in the world, NewCold turned to Atlas Ward, a leader in construction, as well as design and engineering experts Arcadis.

"This partnership fits perfectly with Arcadis' strategic approach to collaborating with environmentally conscious clients like NewCold and supporting innovative companies in the logistics sector. We are pleased to be working with a leading player in automated deep-freeze logistics like NewCold, and we are excited to contribute to their success," said John Atkins, Business Area Director (Places) for Central and Southern Europe at Arcadis.

"In addition to the economic impact and high-quality jobs created by this investment, our new facility will help strengthen the resilience of the food supply chain. And our international reach means we can help Polish food producers access new markets," said Roberto Alessio, Vice President of Business and Development in Eastern Europe.

"We believe in modern and ecological construction technologies. That is why the new investment we are carrying out for NewCold will be equipped with a range of environmentally friendly solutions, including a photovoltaic installation, as well as automation of logistics processes. The trust that NewCold has placed in us shows that the focus on quality, maintaining a constant level of development, and a rich portfolio of successfully completed projects are key arguments thanks to which our company enjoys such great interest from investors," says Mariusz Górecki, CEO of Atlas Ward Polska.

The NewCold warehouse, with a total area of 27 000 m2, contributes to establishing Poland's position as an important logistics hub.
