Newport Logistics Fund is building in Łódź

Newport Logistics Fund, a fund investing in warehouse real estate, announces the start of construction of the first logistics center fully financed by itself. In the vicinity of Łódź, the construction of a 6,300 sqm hall has begun, fully leased by DPD – one of the largest courier companies in Europe. The facility will be part of a complex of two buildings with a total target area of 32,000 sqm.

In the logistics park in Lućmierz near Zgierz, financed by Newport Logistics Fund, construction has begun on the first 6,300 sqm hall for DPD. One of the largest courier companies in Europe, through whose sorting centers approximately 7.5 million parcels pass daily, will use the facility as early as the first quarter of 2023. The cross-dock building will house one of the largest and most modern sorters of this company in the country, as well as functional office and social facilities. The hall will be equipped with a number of sustainable solutions – including a photovoltaic installation and electric vehicle charging stations - and will be certified using the BREEAM method at the Excellent level.

The logistics park being developed by Newport Logistics Fund will ultimately include two buildings with a total area of 32,000 sqm. The investment is being built in one of the main logistics hubs of the country and Europe, near the A2 motorway and the Emilia junction. Within an hour's drive, 4 million people live here, and as many as 180 million consumers within 6 hours. Excellent transport connections are complemented by the nearby Intermodal Container Terminal, connecting China with Western Europe.

Newport Logistics Fund (NLF) is an investment fund registered in Luxembourg.
