Omnipack has launched a new logistics center. SEGRO Logistics Park Warsaw, Nadarzyn is located right next to the S8 route in Nadarzyn near Warsaw, close to the airport. From the very beginning, the logistics operator assumed global operations. Today, Omnipack is doubling its warehouse space, implementing advanced technologies, and planning the opening of another logistics center near the German border. These actions will enable the Polish startup to enter foreign markets and build a network of fulfillment centers across Europe.
Omnipack currently serves over 100 clients, the vast majority of whom are growing dynamically. Furthermore, new clients are constantly joining, which naturally generates a need for additional warehouse space. The logistics center in Nadarzyn provides not only twice as much space but also a location that allows for the execution of foreign shipments in a short time. The next step in Omnipack's international expansion will be the launch of a warehouse in Gorzów Wielkopolski in October, right by the border with Germany.
"The key to the success of any entrepreneur who would like their eCommerce to have a global reach and be adapted to the needs of local markets is choosing a logistics operator that has a warehouse in the right location, access to local carriers, and systems for international settlements. Thanks to the logistics center in Nadarzyn, Omnipack can carry out foreign Next Day Delivery shipments. Later this year, we plan to open another center in Gorzów Wielkopolski near the German border. These actions will enable our clients to expand and scale their business indefinitely into Western European markets" – says Tomek Kasperski, CEO of Omnipack.
Omnipack decided to lease 6,500 sqm of warehouse space in a new building at SEGRO Logistics Park Warsaw, Nadarzyn, considering its strategic geographical location - near central hubs of transport companies. This guarantees the optimization of logistics processes and allows for extending the order placement time for which delivery will be carried out the next day. Also important for Omnipack are the warehouse's racking infrastructure, packaging machines, and conveyor belts that automate the movement of packages from the packing area to the pickup area, as well as an increased number of docks serving multiple carriers simultaneously. These last two factors significantly increase the efficiency index of logistics operations.
"We are making online purchases more and more consciously, which is why our clients have increasing expectations not only regarding the goods they order but also the quality of service. The new warehouse in Nadarzyn ensures greater efficiency of logistics operations, and consequently, a better customer experience, which consists of shortened shipment processing time, packaging methods, or efficient returns handling" – comments Karol Milewski, CCO at Omnipack.
When making the decision, ecological solutions offered by the logistics center were also important, such as valves regulating water consumption, which reduce usage by about 10 percent and allow for immediate shut-off in case of a leak. Additional sub-meters allow for constant monitoring of utilities and real savings during building operation. Construction waste management, including its monitoring, segregation, and recovery, and in the office part, the use of materials with a low coefficient of volatile organic compounds. In addition, the park ensures high energy efficiency, resulting from the use of, among other things, intelligent LED lighting, reducing electricity consumption by up to 30 percent.
