Lorenz is expanding its production and logistics center in Stanowice. A modern, highly automated warehouse with an area of approximately 16.2 thousand sqm is being built next to the plant. The facility is intended to increase the storage and distribution capabilities of finished products, and its launch is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
BREMER is responsible for the implementation of the investment as the general contractor.
The new center will support the logistics of popular brands
Lorenz is a producer of salty snacks, including the Crunchips, Monster Munch, Curly, and Wiejskie Ziemniaczki brands. The new investment is intended to streamline the handling of finished goods and increase the efficiency of one of the company's most important production plants in Poland.
The distribution center will support:
- storage of finished products,
- order picking,
- internal transport of goods,
- further scaling of the company's operations.
The automatic storage system will utilize the full height of the hall
The new warehouse will be approximately 18 meters high. Inside, a reinforced concrete mezzanine with an area of approximately 2.2 thousand sqm and a fully automated racking system occupying approximately 13.2 thousand sqm will be built.
Higher storage density and faster handling
Automation will allow for better utilization of the building's volume and streamline the flow of products between the warehouse and the production plant. Technological solutions are intended to reduce the number of manual operations, speed up order picking, and increase the precision of processes.
Photovoltaics and an energy storage facility will power the building
The project assumes the use of solutions that reduce emissions and energy consumption. The hall will be heated using VRV air source heat pumps, without the use of a gas installation.
A photovoltaic installation with a capacity of 1.57 MWp will be installed on the roof. Additional panels will also appear on the building's facade.
The energy infrastructure will be complemented by an energy storage facility with a capacity of 1,505 kWh, utilizing lithium iron phosphate cell technology. The applied solutions are expected to enable a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 2.7 thousand tons annually.
Artificial intelligence will help manage energy
The facility will be equipped with an intelligent BMS building management system. The solution, supported by artificial intelligence, will be responsible for optimizing the operation of energy installations, the energy storage facility, and the vehicle charging infrastructure.
Energy-efficient LED lighting will also be used in the hall.
Electric trucks will charge during reloading
Three 400 kW chargers, designed for electric trucks, will be built next to the warehouse.
The charging process will be able to take place in parallel with the servicing of vehicles at the docks. Such a solution is intended to reduce truck downtime and increase the efficiency of transport operations.
Green space for employees
The investment will also include the development of the area around the office and social part. A green relaxation zone with trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, and perennials will be created at the entrance to the building.
Also planned are:
- benches and tables,
- partial roofing,
- energy-efficient lighting,
- bicycle racks.
BREEAM Outstanding certificate planned
The new warehouse is to meet the highest environmental standards. One of the goals of the investment is to obtain a BREEAM certificate at the Outstanding level.
The combination of full automation, own energy sources, an energy storage facility, and infrastructure for electric transport means that the facility in Stanowice may become one of the most technologically advanced logistics centers in Poland.
