Stokado has launched its second self-storage facility in Kraków. The new investment at ul. Nowohuckiej offers over 3 200 sqm of modern NLA space and over 600 storage units. Thus, the company strengthens its position on the self-storage market in Poland and continues its development in the country's largest cities.
A modern facility in a well-connected part of Kraków
The new building was designed as a modern, fully functional self-storage facility. It has five floors and is nearly 20 meters high. The facility includes, among others, a reception, staff facilities, and technical zones. Access to all floors is provided by two freight elevators.
The location at ul. Nowohuckiej provides convenient access for both individual and business clients. The proximity of residential estates, service points, and main transport routes fits into Stokado's strategy, which assumes development in densely populated urban areas.
Technology and 24/7 automation
The facility has been equipped with solutions characteristic of fourth-generation self-storage warehouses. Clients have access to their units 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The system includes, among others:
- mobile access via an app,
- individual access codes,
- automatic locks,
- 24/7 monitoring.
These solutions are intended to increase user safety and convenience.
ESG and energy-saving solutions
The new investment was prepared with high energy efficiency and sustainable development in mind. The building incorporates solutions supporting BREEAM certification.
The facility utilizes, among others:
- a photovoltaic installation,
- a heat pump,
- a ground heat exchanger,
- energy-saving LED lighting,
- a rainwater retention tank.
The self-storage market continues to grow
As emphasized by investors' representatives, the Polish self-storage market is still at an earlier stage of development than Western European markets, which creates great potential for further expansion.
The new warehouse in Kraków is the next stage in the expansion of the nationwide Stokado network and, at the same time, the third new location launched by the platform in recent months.
