Panattoni, the market leader in industrial real estate in Europe, with another project in Lower Silesia. On October 25, an investment for FM Logistic was ceremonially opened in Głogów. The logistics operator handles e-commerce sales here for the leading pet store chain Maxi Zoo, belonging to the Fressnapf Group.
Panattoni is growing throughout Lower Silesia: the company has exceeded 2 million sqm of delivered space. The developer has recently started, among others, the largest investment in the region – Wrocław South Logistics Hub, which will ultimately occupy 247,000 sqm. The company is also developing other locations in the province, such as Legnica or Głogów, where a project for FM Logistic – a logistics operator operating on 3 continents – was ceremonially opened. The company leased 35,000 sqm as part of Panattoni Park Głogów, and the ceremony was attended by representatives of Panattoni, FM Logistic, Fressnapf, as well as city authorities, led by the Mayor of Głogów, Rafael Rokaszewicz.
FM Logistic has signed a long-term contract for the storage of goods and logistics support for the B2C e-commerce channel of the leading pet store chain Fressnapf Group, which operates in Poland under the international name Maxi Zoo. The company assumes intensive development and estimates that the number of orders fulfilled in Głogów for individual customers of the chain in Poland and Germany will reach up to 4 million orders in 2023. The investment will allow for the development of the online sales segment of the Fressnapf Group, which owns 1,800 stores in 11 European countries.

Currently, almost all industries are developing online operations, and Panattoni has become a specialist in recent years in creating space adapted to these processes. Already about 1/3 of all our projects serve e-commerce, which in Poland alone accounts for about 4 million sqm. Everything indicates that the share of pet stores in this space will only grow. After all, the e-commerce trade of pet food itself grew by over 50 percent during the pandemic. Many global players in this sector indicate that online trade accounts for even half of their sales. The Fressnapf Group is an excellent example of developing this channel – says
Damian Kowalczyk, Development Director at Panattoni for Lower Silesia and the Opole province.-
Głogów is a new warehouse and a new region on the map of FM Logistic locations in Poland. We ended up here looking for a place that meets the needs of our client, for whom proximity to the German border was a key issue. Here, the Panattoni investment fit our needs perfectly. We also met with a very positive reception from the city authorities, who are extremely helpful and favorable to new ventures. We have been conducting logistics operations for Fressnapf in Głogów since June of this year, and we have more challenges ahead, increasing the number of orders, and implementing automation. We are ready for this and we are happy that we can grow together with our clients - says
Yannick Buisson, Western and Central Europe Managing Director, FM Logistic.Panattoni Park Głogów meets the requirements of the BREEAM certification system at the Excellent level, which means not only lower CO2 emissions and lower energy and water consumption, but also greater care for employee wellbeing. Panattoni took care to analyze office spaces in terms of appropriate acoustics, thermal comfort, and access to daylight.
For the operator, a key advantage was the excellent location of the investment. The park is located about 110 km from the Polish-German border and at a similar distance from the southern border with the Czech Republic. The park is just 10 km from the S3 road, the main transport corridor in the region, connecting Głogów with Zielona Góra or Szczecin and allowing for efficient access to the A4 motorway in the south and the A2 in the north. Thanks to the infrastructure adjacent to the Municipal Investment Zone, employees of FM Logistic at Panattoni Park Głogów can also use rail transport.
