P3 builds for Westwing

P3 will build a dedicated 82,500 sqm building for Westwing at the P3 Poznań park, with the option to expand by an additional 27,000 sqm. It will be the largest warehouse in the company's distribution network to date, which will become a Center of Excellence (CoE) for handling and shipping furniture to the European market.

"Cooperation with Westwing and the choice of the P3 Poznań park as the location for their largest warehouse is a great honor for us. We are proud to be able to build a facility for a European e-commerce leader in home and interior inspiration. The increasing number of online transactions and the development of e-commerce determine the growing complexity of logistics processes, for which e-commerce retail chains must be properly prepared. A flagship warehouse of the right size, located in a convenient location, will allow our partner to intensify operational processes and will certainly ensure further business development" - says Bartłomiej Hofman, Managing Director P3 Logistic Parks in Poland.

From the new warehouse, Westwing will distribute all its furniture to the European market.

"When deciding on a new warehouse, we carefully analyzed the available options. We were looking for a business partner who would understand our needs and, going beyond market standards, find solutions that fully meet our requirements, especially in terms of sustainable development. Since we are already conducting some of our European operations at the P3 Poznań park in Robakowo, this is also a very convenient solution for us, as it is an expansion of this activity" - says Steffani Busch, COO Westwing.

Westwing will add a warehouse with an area of approx. 79,000 sqm and approx. 3,500 sqm of office and social space to the resources of modern warehouse space in Europe. The building will be adapted to the requirements of the e-commerce industry. As part of the furniture business, the warehouse will include an order returns department and a product quality control section.

The facility will also have a parking lot for employees accommodating 288 vehicles and a bicycle parking area. Initially, it will employ over 200 people, and in the future up to 1,000.
