The class A complex, with an area of 32,000 sq m, is part of the main logistics hub around Katowice, the capital of Silesia. This region borders the Czech Republic and Slovakia and lies in the heart of the industrial and manufacturing center of Central and Eastern Europe.
The park is located near the S1 expressway and the A1 and A4 motorways, which provides access to a population of 11 million in Poland and Germany within a 2-hour drive. Two international airports – Katowice and Kraków – are 20 and 35 minutes away by car, respectively, while the international airport in Ostrava in the Czech Republic is one hour away.
Karina Trojańska, Chief Financing & Operating Officer at Panattoni said: „Investor appetite for modern logistics real estate with high sustainability ratings remains stable on the Polish market, and the Silesian park perfectly meets these expectations. It has the highest level of BREEAM Excellent environmental certification on the Polish market and is set to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2025”.
Aleksandra Bis, Head of Palmira Asset Management Poland, added: „We are pleased to be able to expand our Polish portfolio with this acquisition, especially in such a demanding year. Further investments are on the way”.
