Panattoni is expanding the distribution center for ORBICO Supply – a logistics operator acting within the Orbico Polska group, which distributes over 50 global brands. Ultimately, the BTS facility in Teresin will reach 38,000 sqm.
Orbico Polska is a leading distributor of over 50 global brands, including Braun, Converse, Lavazza, Oral-B, Vizir, Pampers, Gillette, Dr. Martens, and Pringels. The company's key investment in Central Europe is the logistics center in Teresin near Warsaw. The space being developed by Panattoni in a BTS (build-to-suit) formula will allow for the handling of growing distribution volumes and the development of ORBICO Supply services as a 3PL operator for external clients. The facility will store products from the FMCG, cosmetic, beauty, as well as clothing and footwear segments – a total of over 48,000 pallets – and its location in the center of Europe will allow it to reach almost all European Union markets.
“The ORBICO Supply investment in Teresin is further proof of how attractive the Warsaw market is for international distribution. The delivery of the existing space confirmed that Panattoni perfectly understands the company's needs, and consolidating operations within one new space confirms the huge potential inherent in our facilities. We are pleased that once again a logistics company is choosing Panattoni to develop its offer,” says Michał Samborski, Head of Development at Panattoni.
As part of the new space, Panattoni will prepare a number of solutions tailored to ORBICO Supply. Among other things, the developer will adapt the new space for partial automation – the facility will use Shuttle-type racks and AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) trucks. Furthermore, the tenant will use a VAS (Value-Added Services) zone. In the existing building, Panattoni has also prepared over 1,000 sqm of space housing modern offices.
The expansion of our main distribution center in Teresin is a key element of the growth strategy implemented by Orbico Supply in Poland and Europe. Taking care of the balanced development of our logistics capabilities in the areas of storage and transport, as well as investments in technology and building employee competencies, allows for a constant increase in the volume of operations while maintaining cost efficiency and high quality standards expected by our internal and external clients, emphasizes Piotr Sędziak, Orbico Group Supply Director.
The BTS Orbico Supply facility is located in the Teresin municipality in the vicinity of national road no. 92, with good access to the A2 motorway, which runs to Łódź, Poznań, and Berlin, among others. The location also provides an excellent connection to Warsaw, which significantly facilitates the acquisition of qualified employees.
