Panattoni has completed a factory for Samsung

Panattoni has completed the construction of a modern factory for Samsung in Wronki. Thanks to the new production and warehouse space, the company will significantly increase the production capacity of the existing plant, where household appliances are manufactured.

- "Completing the factory for Samsung is the perfect summary of 2023, which was marked by, among other things, nearshoring and the associated reindustrialization – about 1/3 of the industrial space delivered in the country over the last 12 months was intended for production processes. Global giants appreciate Poland's central location, which enables reaching customers across the entire continent, as well as access to qualified employees and developed infrastructure" – comments Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director at Panattoni.

The importance of the new factory for Samsung's operations is evidenced by the fact that it was implemented in the BTO formula, i.e., as the company's own property. The company will use a facility with an area of 60,000 sqm, where a new production line for refrigerators has been located, including both models already on the market and completely new ones.

- "The opening of our new factory is an important step towards the future, where innovation, efficiency, and modern solutions aim to streamline processes and improve production indicators. Investing in the new facility will not only ensure an increase in finished product production efficiency by up to 40% in the long term, but will also increase the efficiency of the sub-lines themselves and improve internal logistics. Launching self-driving transport vehicles (AGV) in the new hall is a decisive step towards efficient and safe internal logistics" – summarizes Olgierd Bałtaki, proxy, director at Samsung Electronics Poland Manufacturing sp. z o.o. based in Wronki, and adds – "The investment activities we are undertaking are aimed at making the company even more sustainable and energy-efficient. Using heat pumps to heat the hall and installing electric car charging stations at our company's new facility are just examples of actions aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing the factory's environmental impact. This investment is not only a contribution to the development of modern technologies but proof of the company's commitment to the development of the entire household appliance sector in Poland. Given the changing needs of the market and the business environment, it is crucial to constantly strengthen the company's potential, which is why we are investing in technological development and the optimization of production processes"

- "Once again, it is confirmed that to implement the BTO format, you need a flexible, responsive developer with the right know-how. Advanced, tailor-made factories are becoming our specialty. For Samsung, we were essential support, guaranteeing the delivery of a facility tailored to specific requirements, implemented to the highest standard" – summarizes Marek Dobrzycki.

The developer was responsible for the comprehensive preparation of the investment, including securing and preparing the land, implementing road infrastructure in the investment area, and providing an electrical connection with a capacity of 4.95 MW. The new factory will implement solutions in the field of automation of the entire technological line in the production process, which required preparing a floor reinforced in designated areas up to 20 tons per square meter.

The factory was built in accordance with the highest standards of sustainable construction and will undergo BREEAM certification at the Excellent level. The developer took care of, among other things, increased insulation of the facility by using sandwich panels on the walls and special wool on the roof. Furthermore, heat pumps will be used to heat the hall.

Green areas are planned around the hall, including, among other things, flower meadows and a strip of isolation greenery on the side of residential areas, within which the company will plant shrubs as well as coniferous and deciduous trees. Noise pollution will be limited by an acoustic screen and the reduced acoustic power of the ventilation units.
