Panattoni has completed a strategic project for Poczta Polska

Panattoni, the world's most active industrial real estate developer, has completed a complex of three buildings for Poczta Polska in Radzymin. The investment plays a key role in the implementation of the Logistics Network Architecture (ASL) project, a strategic initiative of the operator. Within the 50,000 sqm logistics center, a sorter will operate that will allow for the handling of over 15,000 parcels per hour.

Across the country, Panattoni has delivered over 4 million sqm of space for the e-commerce sector, completing facilities for, among others, global industry giants. The developer is also a partner of Poczta Polska, which is successively modernizing its infrastructure to meet the needs of the growing e-commerce market. The Logistics Network Architecture initiative will enable a smooth transformation of the current network - adapted primarily for handling letters - to the target one, in which KEP (courier, express, parcel) and e-commerce shipments will dominate.

-The investment in Ciemne near Radzymin is one of the most important tasks currently being carried out by the Company. Acquiring a new logistics facility directly in the Warsaw area will enable the handling of the growing volume of parcel and pallet shipments and the automation of logistics processes. As early as next year, the hall will be equipped with the largest parcel sorter in the Company - says Krzysztof Falkowski, President of Poczta Polska.

Panattoni has completed facilities for Poczta Polska in Kalisz and Białystok, and at the end of August this year, the developer completed the construction of three buildings in Radzymin – halls with areas of 14,574 sqm and 30,264 sqm, as well as a dispatch center with an area of almost 600 sqm. As part of the complex, it delivered cross-dock warehouses and warehouse-operational areas, where a sorter for automatic processing of courier, express, and parcel shipments, equipped with Cross-Belt technology, will be installed. The machine will have six automatic feeding lines and six manual feeding lines. Over 300 chutes will allow for the handling of up to 15,000 shipments per hour. The entire system, designed to optimize work, includes barcode scanning, sorting, and final chutes. In addition to the operational part, Panattoni also completed a workshop with equipment allowing for the maintenance of delivery and heavy-duty vehicles, as well as a canopy with an area of over 5,000 sqm.

- The value of the Polish e-commerce market has increased 5-fold in the last decade, and nearly 3-fold in the last 5 years. The rapid development of the sector also means growing consumer expectations regarding the quality of services, and above all, the speed of delivery. The technologically advanced facility in Radzymin will allow Poczta Polska to streamline its logistics network and enable it to compete with the largest players in the promising courier and parcel services market. We are pleased that we are once again a partner in this revolution, adding another brick to the growing standard of the entire e-commerce sector – summarizes Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director at Panattoni.

The investment is located approx. 25 km from the center of Warsaw, which will allow for efficient handling of the growing volume of shipments in the region. The complex will undergo environmental certification using the BREEAM method at the Excellent level. A number of solutions have been applied in it to save energy and water consumption and reduce CO2 emissions.
