Panattoni has delivered nearly 12,000 sqm in Zielona Góra for ECE Logistics

Panattoni has already delivered nearly 170,000 sqm of industrial space in Zielona Góra as part of three parks. In one of the projects in the capital of the Lubusz Voivodeship, ECE Logistics has leased modern space. The company will use the new facility to conduct operations for e-commerce clients and serve markets in Central and Western Europe.

Western Poland is developing rapidly thanks to its proximity to the German border – and the resulting potential for serving foreign markets. Outside of the so-called Big Five markets, it is in the West Pomeranian and Lubusz voivodeships that Panattoni has delivered the most space, at the end of Q1 2023: 782,000 sqm and 621,000 sqm respectively. One of the driving forces of the region is international e-commerce, for which the western part of the country serves as a hub. ECE Logistics, which has leased 11,800 sqm of space at Panattoni Park Zielona Góra III, will benefit from the location's advantages. The transport company will use the new facility to conduct processes for e-commerce clients and serve markets such as Germany and France in the west or the Czech Republic in the south.

"Ultimately, the new building will be the largest warehouse in the ECE Logistics portfolio, which will allow for a significant expansion of the client base and comprehensive support for business partners in expanding into new markets. The space at Panattoni Park Zielona Góra III will allow for the handling of both small and large-format products as part of the XXL Logistics service. When choosing the new facility, we were also guided by a high standard of sustainable solutions, which will allow us and our clients to achieve goals in this area," says Maciej Korlak, Managing Director at ECE Logistics.

"The first two Panattoni parks in Zielona Góra have already been fully commercialized, and leading companies in the logistics industry are choosing the excellent location in the capital of this rapidly developing region. We are pleased that ECE Logistics is joining this group, supporting the development of our third project in this location. This is our first joint project, but we believe that good cooperation will drive further ones, especially since the company wants to develop its services for e-commerce, and we are the European leader in projects for this sector," says Dorota Jagodzińska, Managing Director at Panattoni.

The popularity of industrial space in Zielona Góra is driven by both access to qualified employees and an excellent location guaranteeing efficient distribution in Poland or towards Southern and Western Europe. The proximity of the A2 motorway allows for efficient connections to the most important centers in this part of Europe, such as Warsaw, Poznań, Łódź, or Berlin. The S3 expressway, connecting Western Pomerania with the country's southern border, also runs through the area.

Panattoni Park Zielona Góra III will undergo BREEAM certification at the Excellent level. The developer will, among other things, ensure the reduction of CO2 emissions through increased insulation of walls and the roof, plant flower meadows, and provide houses for invertebrates, insects, and birds. In addition, employees will benefit from infrastructure for cyclists and electric vehicle charging stations.
