Panattoni has secured financing for the development of a modern distribution center for one of the leading players in the retail industry. A loan of 36.5 million euros was provided by BNP Paribas. The BTS-type facility is being built in Szczecin and will occupy an area of over 54,000 sqm.
- „Obtaining financing from BNP Paribas for the BTS project in Szczecin is another step in the implementation of our strategy to develop facilities tailored to the needs of our clients. This region enjoys interest from foreign companies, especially from Western Europe and Scandinavia, which are eager to locate warehouses and production plants here. In the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Panattoni is on track to exceed the first million sqm of delivered space” – says Emilia Taczewska–Trojańska, Head of Debt Finance Poland, Panattoni.
The distribution center is being built in accordance with the highest warehouse standards and with the inclusion of sustainable solutions that will improve the building's energy efficiency and reduce its environmental impact. The facility will be equipped with, among other things, heat pumps, a 1 MWp photovoltaic installation, a greywater system, and systems optimizing energy consumption. It will feature modern social rooms, relaxation zones, and office spaces – 2,870 sqm - of a high standard. On the premises of the center, there will also be amenities supporting sustainable transport, including bicycle parking and electric vehicle charging stations. The investment will undergo environmental certification in the BREEAM system at the highest possible Outstanding level.
The new distribution center will be located in the eastern part of Szczecin (Dunikowo). This will facilitate logistics support for stores in the north-western part of Poland, as well as, thanks to the proximity of the border with Germany – in the Berlin region. 500 people will find work here, for whom communication with the center of Szczecin will be ensured by an efficient SKM connection.
