Panattoni has secured financing from Bank Millennium

Panattoni has secured financing from Bank Millennium – a loan of 20.7 million euros is intended for the construction of a distribution center for Auchan Polska. The fully robotic warehouse is being built in a BTS (built-to-suit) formula in Wilcza Góra near Warsaw.

- „Financing from Bank Millennium will allow us to implement an extremely technologically advanced facility that will be of strategic importance to our client. The use of automation systems will significantly translate into process optimization and scaling of Auchan's e-commerce business on the Polish market” – said Emilia Taczewska-Trojańska, Head of Debt Finance Poland at Panattoni. 

The new distribution center with an area of 18,000 sqm will be used to serve customers of the modernized Auchan online platform. Thanks to the use of automation systems based on artificial intelligence and machine learning provided by Ocado, the facility will become a key element of Auchan's e-commerce infrastructure, enabling faster and more efficient order processing. The solutions introduced in the warehouse will allow for the storage of a larger quantity of goods, which will translate into a wider selection of products available online – ultimately, this will be as many as 40,000 assortment items: fresh articles and food products, as well as others from non-food categories.

Construction of the distribution center started in the third quarter of this year, and completion of the work is planned for June 2025. The first operations will be launched as early as the fourth quarter of 2025.

The investment will obtain a BREEAM certificate at the Excellent level, which will translate into lower operating costs for the tenant.
