Panattoni has started construction of the main European production plant for Maxcess in Łubowo

Panattoni has started construction of a tailor-made production plant for Maxcess - a global leader in innovative products and services for automated production line applications. The project will allow for the relocation of the existing plant and more than double the number of employees. It will also serve as the central plant for the company's European operations.

The ceremonial laying of the cornerstone for the investment took place on October 16, 2023. The event was attended by: Alexander Haid - General Manager Maxcess Europe, Marek Foryński - BTS Managing Director at Panattoni, and Andrzej Łozowski - Mayor of the Łubowo municipality. The project is being carried out in the newly established economic zone in the Łubowo municipality, and its completion is planned for the end of February 2024.

The investment, which will be carried out by the Panattoni BTS division, will allow for the relocation of the existing plant and an increase in production capacity as well as an increase in employment from 160 to as many as 350 people. The new facility will serve as the company's central production plant in Europe and will perfectly fit into the company's vision of development and innovation. Furthermore, centralizing the company's operations under one roof will provide a strategic advantage and streamline processes such as: winding, guiding, slitting, and transporting material. The plot on which the main European production plant for Maxcess is being built allows for the expansion of the facility in the future.

- "Once again, Panattoni BTS is delivering a plant that becomes the heart of the entire European operation for a global player. The strategic nature of the investment requires a special approach, which is the motto of our division. That is why we proved to be the ideal partner for Maxcess in their relocation and expansion. An important aspect of being tailor-made is the location, which will allow for the retention of the existing proven and experienced team. This project has everything to turn out to be a huge success" - says Marek Foryński, BTS Managing Director at Panattoni.

"The new location in Łubowo perfectly fits into our vision of development and innovation. It offers an attractive and intelligent environment that will increase our ability to develop new products and services, while benefiting from better transport connections and a modern, light-filled workspace. With Łubowo, we are becoming a leader in the development and production of state-of-the-art technological products for both the European and global markets, which is an example of our global impact and at the same time our commitment to local development" - comments Alexander Haid, General Manager for Maxcess Europe, with enthusiasm.

The developer will build a facility with an area of approx. 13,000 sq m, where, among other things, products for industrial lines will be manufactured. As part of the investment, Maxcess plans further technological development, modernization of machinery, equipment, and software. The new facility will also perfectly fit into the company's pursuit of making its processes more environmentally friendly. Panattoni, among other things, will prepare the investment for the installation of photovoltaic panels and will create green areas on the facility's premises. The developer plans to obtain BREEAM environmental certification at the Excellent level.

- "Once again, the BTS division allows us to create a plant with a very high ecological standard, becoming an important partner in the energy transformation of global manufacturers. Our experience in this area is growing rapidly and is becoming another aspect of being tailor-made, giving our partners an advantage over the competition" - summarizes Maciej Zawada, BTS Development Director at Panattoni.

The efficient start of construction in Łubowo is the result of good cooperation between both companies. As summarized by Bartłomiej Adamczyk, Technical Development Senior Manager at Panattoni BTS:

- "Although construction has only just begun, it is the culmination of a fruitful, albeit hard-working, process of preparation, obtaining permits, and a demanding but successful tender for the purchase of the plot. Mutual trust and transparency between Panattoni and Maxcess were of great importance to us. These are ideal working conditions for our department. Even though the construction process will take place largely in winter, the support from the client is a guarantee that the implementation will proceed very efficiently."
