Panattoni has secured financing for the development of Panattoni Park Łódź West II – one of the largest industrial projects in the western part of Łódź. A loan of 25 million euro was provided by mBank.
The Łódź region is one of the three voivodeships with the largest volume of industrial space in the country, and at the end of Q3 this year, it was also among the three regions with the highest developer activity in Poland – every seventh square meter under construction was located in this voivodeship.
–„In 2021, Łódź won the Business-Friendly Perception Index ranking and was recognized as the most business-attractive city with over 200,000 inhabitants in Central and Eastern Europe, beating 99 competitors. The agglomeration constantly confirms its attractiveness for dozens of industries that use modern warehouse, logistics, or production space” – says Karina Trojańska, Chief Financing & Operating Officer – Poland, Panattoni – „We recently started construction of one of the largest projects in the western part of Łódź – Panattoni Park Łódź West II. Now we have obtained 25 million euro in financing for the implementation of the first stage of this investment. We thank mBank for their trust and we are happy that thanks to our investments we can contribute to business development in this thriving region” – she adds.
Construction of the first hall has already begun; the current stage will cover 51,000 sq m of space, of which 32,000 sq m will be occupied by a Polish logistics operator with an international reach – the company Rohlig Suus. The new facility will allow Rohlig Suus to triple its operational capacity in the region, as well as expand the company's range of services. The park will ultimately include two buildings with a total area exceeding 84,000 sq m.
Rohlig Suus appreciated above all the very good location of the facility and a number of ecological and employee wellbeing solutions, which will be confirmed by BREEAM certification. As part of the investment, among other things, photovoltaic panels, dusk and dawn sensors, a BMS system will be installed, and tenants will also benefit from water-saving sanitary equipment and fittings or modern and low-emission gas heating systems.
Panattoni Park Łódź West II is located on Langiewicza Street, in the vicinity of the S14 road – connecting the A2 motorway (Warsaw – Łódź – Poznań – Berlin) and the S8 expressway (Białystok – Warsaw – Łódź – Wrocław). The first of the facilities will be delivered in the third quarter of 2024.
