Panattoni starts construction of BTS for Maxi Zoo

Panattoni is developing e-commerce in Lower Silesia. During today's ceremony, the developer laid the foundation stone for the construction of 35,000 sqm for FM Logistic as part of Panattoni Park Głogów. In the new facility, the tenant will handle B2C e-commerce for the leading pet store chain of the Fressnapf Group, which operates in Poland under the international name Maxi Zoo. The company will fulfill orders for individual customers from Poland and Germany. Panattoni Park Głogów will eventually occupy 20ha, including 110,000 sqm under the roof. The investment will undergo BREEAM certification at the Excellent level and will allow companies to significantly reduce CO2 emissions and energy consumption.

As part of the investment, FM Logistic will use 35,000 sqm - the company operates on 3 continents, in 14 countries, and has signed a long-term contract for the storage of goods and logistics services for the B2C e-commerce channel of the leading pet store chain of the Fressnapf Group, which operates in Poland under the international name Maxi Zoo. The company expects to handle up to 4 million orders in 2023 for individual customers in Poland and Germany. The investment will allow for the development of the online sales segment of the Fressnapf Group, which owns nearly 1,800 pet stores in Europe. FM Logistic will move into the facility in May 2022. The entire Panattoni Park Głogów will undergo BREEAM sustainability assessment certification at the Excellent level, which will also benefit the first tenant, who will reduce CO2 emissions and energy and water consumption. Panattoni will also ensure the analysis of office spaces in terms of appropriate acoustics, thermal comfort, and access to daylight.

„Panattoni's space has once again been appreciated by e-commerce. Of the more than 12 million sqm delivered by us in Europe, more than 1/3 serves online sales, and we are chosen by regional and global leaders, as well as representatives of specific industries, such as DIY or clothing. This time, a logistics operator that will handle the pet industry is betting on us, which only confirms our versatility in space serving e-commerce” – comments Damian Kowalczyk, Development Director at Panattoni. -„Głogów is proof of the still unextinguished potential of Lower Silesia. A month ago, the city of our new investment took 2nd place in the Lower Silesian Economic Plebiscite „Stars of Business” 2021, in the Business-Friendly Local Government category. The pro-investment attitude of the authorities allows the city to utilize its potential. Combined with modern and eco-friendly space from Panattoni, another town is becoming an attractive location for leaders in many industries, such as FM Logistic”.

„The decision to choose the warehouse location in Lower Silesia was preceded by many analyses that took into account the optimization of service for our client, Maxi Zoo. We considered factors such as the availability of employees and the possibility of fast delivery to the German market. The new Panattoni investment perfectly fits these needs” - says Anna Galas, Senior Business Development Director, FM Logistic - „We also see increasing interest and demand for locating this type of operation in our country and we see great development opportunities here also for our other clients”.

Panattoni Park Głogów is a complex with international potential. It is located approx. 110 km from the Polish-German border and at a similar distance from the southern border with the Czech Republic. The park is just 10 km from the S3 road, the main transport corridor in the region, connecting Głogów with Zielona Góra or Szczecin and allowing for efficient access to the A4 motorway in the south and the A2 in the north. Thanks to the infrastructure adjacent to the Municipal Investment Zone, tenants of the complex will also be able to use rail transport. Excellent location and the realization of the investment according to the highest standards of sustainable construction make Panattoni Park Głogów an ideal choice for everyone: both a representative of the logistics or e-commerce industry and a manufacturer will find themselves perfectly in the complex.
