Panattoni strengthens its presence in Greater Poland

Panattoni announces another investment in Greater Poland. On a 10-hectare plot in the Swarzędz municipality near Poznań, Panattoni Park Poznań East Gate with an area of 45,100 sq m will be built. This is the first Panattoni park east of Poznań. Its construction will start in the second quarter of this year.

Greater Poland's potential. Poznań is one of the 5 most attractive logistics and distribution markets in Poland, and Panattoni has a huge warehouse base here – it is already approx. 940,000 sq m of built space. These are both BTS facilities for companies such as Amazon or Raben as well as multi-let warehouse and production parks. Until now, however, all Panattoni facilities were located west and south of the capital of Greater Poland, in the close vicinity of the A2 motorway and the Poznań bypass.

„The strategic geographical location of Poznań, halfway between Berlin and Warsaw, and convenient communication infrastructure open up a number of opportunities for distribution both on the domestic and foreign markets. Another is the economic potential of the region, because Greater Poland has always been one of the most developed economic areas in the country. In addition, there is a solid base of qualified labor, as tens of thousands of people study in the 650,000-strong city” – this is how Katarzyna Kujawiak from Panattoni explains the high interest of tenants, including foreign ones, in warehouse space in the Poznań area.

Panattoni Park Poznań East Gate will consist of one hall with an area of 45,100 sq m. Tenants from various industries will be able to use flexible modules that will allow for the handling of both warehouse and production processes. The facility will be certified in the BREEAM system at the Very Good level, which means that it will meet high environmental requirements and its operation will be cheaper. The building will be equipped with, among others, systems limiting unnecessary energy and water consumption, and thanks to increased wall and roof insulation, it will contribute to lower CO2 emissions. The park will also include expanded green zones with benches, bicycle racks and shelters, and electric car charging stations.

The park will be conveniently located in Paczkowo, near national road No. 92, which connects Rzepin at the border with Germany with Poznań and Warsaw. The road leads through the areas of the Lubusz, Greater Poland, Łódź and Masovian voivodeships, and its route is parallel to the A2 motorway. The nearby Kostrzyn junction connects road No. 92 with the S5 expressway (Wrocław – Poznań – Bydgoszcz and ultimately Ostróda) and thanks to it also with the A2 motorway in Kleszczewo. In turn, the location of the park near Poznań and the proximity of university campuses will ensure an influx of qualified employees and excellent communication.
