Panattoni has begun construction of 9,500 sqm of space tailored for Air Spiralo – a leading manufacturer of ventilation systems in Europe. The production and warehouse facility will be built in Szamotuły, in the vicinity of the company's main headquarters in Poland. The value of the project will amount to nearly 8.4 million euros.
On October 3rd, the cornerstone laying ceremony officially began the construction of the BTS facility in Szamotuły. The ceremony was attended by, among others, Rix de Haan, founder of Air Spiralo. The event was a recognition of his contribution to the company's development and can be considered a symbolic generational change. The ceremony was also attended by members of the ASG board: Andre van der Sterre, Roel de Haan and Mike de Haan, Managing Director of the company Roland Schrödter, and Group Business Development Director Remigiusz Błaszkowiak. Representatives of Panattoni BTS also took part in the event.
-„The presence of Rix de Haan and the current board confirms the enormous importance of the new facility in Szamotuły for the entire business of Air Spiralo. We are all the more pleased that the implementation was entrusted to Panattoni, appreciating our experience to date in BTS projects. This is another tailor-made production plant, and the growing portfolio proves to be a significant asset in the era of reindustrialization, nearshoring, or reshoring trends” – comments Marek Foryński, BTS Managing Director at Panattoni.
As part of the new investment, Air Spiralo will conduct production, logistics, and warehouse processes, and the adaptation of the entire planned area will allow for the expansion of production in the future. Thanks to the tailor-made facility in Szamotuły, the company will consolidate logistics and manufacturing operations from three existing locations. From the new plant, the company will serve markets across Europe. The building will be handed over to the client at the turn of May and June 2024, and the value of the project will amount to nearly 8.4 million euros. Bartłomiej Adamczyk from the Panattoni BTS branch was responsible for the entire process of coordinating the investment in terms of technology and design, as well as obtaining the necessary permits.
-„Once again, we prove that tailoring by the Panattoni BTS branch goes beyond a customized facility and also includes a perfectly selected location. To offer Air Spiralo a location optimal for the company's development and process consolidation, we reclaimed post-industrial land, developing and revitalizing the surroundings. A brownfield investment is a major challenge that we are not afraid to take on, and the implementation for Air Spiralo is another example of the efficient execution of this formula” – comments Paulina Sokołowska, BTS Development Manager at Panattoni.
„The last 6 years have been a period of intensive development for our company. Along with the expansion of our machine park, we are constantly improving our processes, developing our staff, and working on production automation. In 2023, we also initiated the transfer of the distribution center from the headquarters in the Netherlands to Poland. We are also constantly expanding our portfolio of clients and products. The investment in the new production and warehouse hall is a key element for ensuring the further development of the company. We are convinced that the cooperation between Air Spiralo and Panattoni will be a joint success” – comments Roland Schrödter, Managing Director at Air Spiralo.
The investment in Szamotuły is being built 37 km from the center of Poznań and about 2 hours' drive from the border with Germany. The facility will undergo BREEAM certification, and Panattoni will reinforce the roof for the installation of photovoltaics and cooling equipment. The developer will also complete high-standard office space with additional glazing, and employees will be able to use, among other things, infrastructure for cyclists or parking spaces for carsharing.
Tailored to (various) measures. The Panattoni BTS branch constantly proves that it tailors for dozens of industries and processes. Among other things, in June this year, the developer completed a distribution center with an area of 60,800 sqm for Action – an international chain of non-food stores operating in eleven European countries. Also in recent months, the BTS branch commissioned the Monroe European Engineering Center, where nearly 240 engineers support leading vehicle manufacturers and other Tenneco Group plants. The investment in Gliwice confirmed that Panattoni supports not only logistics, production, or warehouse processes, but also laboratory or R&D departments.
