Panattoni is starting construction of nearly 15,000 sq m for Phoenix Contact E-Mobility. The BTS facility will be built in the Rzeszów – Dworzysko Technology Park, which will facilitate the tenant's cooperation with scientific units and ensure good access to qualified staff. The building will be commissioned at the turn of 2020 and 2021 and will be adapted for 330 employees.
The developer will provide 14,966 sq m of space, which will include 986 sq m of offices and 13,980 sq m of industrial and warehouse space. As part of this, the tenant will receive, among others, 111 sq m of compressor room, 627 sq m of testing space, and 67 sq m of pump room. The production area will be adapted to the client's modern solutions – it will be equipped with advanced busbars and an ESD-type industrial floor. In the building, Phoenix Contact E-Mobility will produce modern “High Power Charging” technology for electric vehicles. The manufactured components will be exported to over 10 Western European countries. The facility will be commissioned at the turn of 2020 and 2021 and will provide jobs for 330 people.
Phoenix Contact E-Mobility is part of the Phoenix Contact group - a global leader in innovation in the field of industrial automation and electrical engineering, which reaches over 100 countries with its solutions, employing a total of approx. 18,000 people worldwide. Phoenix Contact E-Mobility has vast experience in the field of charging technology for electromobility, especially in developing components and solutions for both charging infrastructure and vehicle charging interfaces, which it wants to share, which is why it chose the location in the “Rzeszów - Dworzysko Science and Technology Park”. The company plans to start cooperation with scientific and research units located in the region, as well as universities in terms of conducting student internships and apprenticeships in the newly established plant.
“With a wide portfolio of locations, we reach both companies that want to be closer to the employee and the client. The current cooperation shows that our facilities also guarantee easy access to regional research and scientific centers and at the same time to qualified staff. Regardless of preferences, it is worth starting the search for the perfect location with us”. - comments Marek Foryński, Managing Director BTS Group at Panattoni.
The location of the new Phoenix Contact facility also guarantees a number of other advantages. The planned Fast City Rail station will be located just a few minutes' walk from the building, which will allow employees to reach it efficiently from the center of Rzeszów. Very important in the context of cargo transport are the proximity of the international airport – 15 minutes' drive – and developed road infrastructure. The facility is located on the S-19 route, which is part of the “Via Carpatia”, which will ultimately connect Klaipėda in Lithuania with Thessaloniki in Greece. In addition, the A4 motorway runs in the near vicinity, connecting the south-eastern and south-western borders of Poland, the extensions of which run through Germany in the west and Ukraine in the east.
As part of the Rzeszów facility, Phoenix Contact E-Mobility will start production of solutions for electric cars. The facility itself has also been equipped by Panattoni with a number of solutions in line with the principles of sustainable development. The developer will, among other things, insulate the roof with mineral wool, create a recuperation system, provide electric car charging points, prepare a rainwater and snowmelt retention system, and create a buffer in the warehouse to limit dust and heat loss to the production part. A number of functionalities and the tenant's ecological technological process will allow for the delivery of an environmentally friendly facility, which will receive BREEAM certification at at least the GOOD level.
