Panattoni to provide InPost with over 75,500 sqm.

Panattoni announces the largest lease in the CEP industry. The developer will provide InPost with warehouses in 8 locations with a total area of 75,500 sqm. The facilities will be built this year.

The hubs being built by Panattoni for InPost will be located both in the "Big Five" markets – in Wrocław or Poznań, but also in Radzymin, which will also serve the northern part of the Warsaw Agglomeration. The company also chose Kalisz, Siedlce, Szczecin, Rzeszów   and Wałbrzych. This is another collaboration between the two companies – so far, Panattoni has leased approximately 325,500 sqm to InPost.

„This one is unique, as it concerns 8 locations with a total area of 75,500 sqm. This project also shows a market trend – courier companies investing in an increasing number of regional distribution centers - also in smaller centers - in order to improve delivery efficiency in terms of both costs and delivery time. And this would not be possible without the experience of Panattoni and innovators like InPost”. - emphasizes Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director at Panattoni.

In 2020, the gross value of online goods sales in Poland amounted to 83 billion PLN. According to a PWC analysis, in 2021 it is expected to be 93 billion, and in 2026 – 162 billion PLN with an average annual growth of 12 percent. At the same time, 85 percent of Poles declare at least maintaining their current frequency of online shopping after Covid-19, and as the Gemius study indicates - lower delivery costs, as well as a significant shortening of delivery time, motivate an increase in the frequency of online shopping. Therefore, the creation of subsequent distribution centers closer to the customer drives the development of e-commerce and increases the attractiveness of this channel among internet users.

„For two years we have been the leader in leasing logistics space in Poland, but our infrastructure will grow exponentially this year. In 2020, we doubled our turnover and the volume of shipments we handle – and this year looks even better. Poland – along with the largest Paczkomaty® network of all countries in Europe and a gigantic logistics base – will be a model for our international development. Our model is unique on a global scale and very difficult to copy. And above all – proven on millions of shipments, delivered in the D+1 regime. I can say that there is most likely no such player in all of Europe – and catching up with us requires many years of work and gigantic investments. Now our potential will additionally grow thanks to the new Paczkomaty® factory, which will start in the middle of the year, and the planned acquisition of Mondial Relay – a French company with an extensive network of 15,800 pick-up and drop-off points ("PUDO") in France, the Benelux countries and the Iberian Peninsula” – says Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost.

Panattoni has been observing the trend of increasing the share of e-commerce in trade for years, thanks to which it has specialized in providing space dedicated to online sales, both in "big box" formats, parks dedicated to multiple tenants, last mile, as well as BTS facilities.
