Pekaes expands its network. New branch in Kalisz

Pekaes opened its 21st branch in Kalisz on April 26, which includes a distribution terminal. This increases the company's operational capabilities in south-eastern Greater Poland and on the route to Germany.

The opening of the Pekaes branch in Kalisz is another stage of investment in the group's key general cargo services segment. The choice of location for the new terminal was not accidental. Kalisz is the second largest center in the region. Pekaes has been very active in this part of the country for many years, and the intensive development of the entire voivodeship translates to a large extent into the scope of the company's operations.

"We chose Kalisz because the scale of our operations in this region of the country is growing" - says Maciej Bachman, CEO of Pekaes - "Of course, this is not the end of our investments, as along with the development of the business, we plan to increase the terminal area in Kalisz, following the path of further expansion of our distribution network."

Pekaes focuses on developing cooperation with local companies and announces further expansion abroad. The new facility will also play an important role in the process of distributing goods on the route between Poland and Germany.

"The terminal in Kalisz acts as a link in the delivery of shipments between Poznań and Łódź, Warsaw as well as Berlin. For years, we have been recording record growth in the volume of cargo that we transport between Poland and our western neighbor. Kalisz significantly strengthens our distribution system" - adds Maciej Bachman.

The Kalisz branch of Pekaes is located in the south-western part of the city's industrial zone on Rozwojowa Street. Its area is 3000 sqm.

Over the last two years, the Pekaes Group has made modern terminals available to customers, including in Opole, Białystok, Zielona Góra, Mińsk Mazowiecki or Legnica. At the end of August 2020, the company launched a new terminal in Olsztyn,  and in March of this year also a facility in Gdańsk.
