MLP Group has concluded a new long-term lease agreement at the expanding MLP Poznań West warehouse complex. A packaging manufacturer will join the logistics center. Preston Packaging has ordered approximately 7.5 thousand sqm of modern warehouse space. About 6.6 thousand sqm will be used for warehouse purposes, and social and office areas will occupy another 800+ sqm. The tenant will receive so-called early access to the warehouse part at the beginning of August this year, and to the office part at the beginning of September this year. Handover of the space in full is planned for the beginning of April 2026.
Preston Packaging is a leading manufacturer of solid cardboard packaging, pharmaceutical leaflets, and product instructions. For over 20 years, it has been offering packaging used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. Packaging and leaflets are delivered throughout Poland and the European Union.
– Signing a long-term lease agreement with Preston Packaging is another important step in the development of MLP Poznań West. We are pleased that such a renowned packaging manufacturer has joined our group of tenants, choosing modern warehouse space tailored to its needs. Our logistics center offers not only a great location and high-class infrastructure but also solutions in line with the principles of sustainable development. We are convinced that Preston Packaging will find excellent conditions here for further development and optimization of its logistics processes – said Agnieszka Góźdź, Member of the Management Board, Chief Development Officer at MLP Group S.A.
– We are very pleased with our development and its future prospects, however, we faced a challenge. The current space where our headquarters is located has become insufficient and limiting for our further growth. This prompted us to look for a solution to this situation. After a thorough analysis of available options, we decided on MLP Poznań West, a modern logistics park located in the immediate vicinity of the S11 route. A key factor in the choice was the close distance to our current headquarters. This will allow, on one hand, for employees to maintain their current comfort of commuting to work, and on the other, it will facilitate the organization of the move. A major advantage is the proximity of the S11 expressway and the A2 motorway, which will improve logistics. An additional advantage is the good visibility of the facility, which will contribute to increasing the recognition of our brand. We are also pleased with the developer's approach, which showed full understanding of our specific technical requirements. As a printer of packaging and leaflets for the pharmaceutical industry, we must meet strictly defined standards, which is why adapting the hall to our needs was crucial. At MLP Poznań West, we found a partner open to cooperation and ready to adapt the facility to our expectations – said Stanisław Karoński, Vice President of the Management Board of Preston sp. z o.o.
The modern MLP Poznań West distribution center is a complex located on the western side of Poznań, next to the S11 expressway and just 7 km from the intersection of the A2 motorway and the S11 route. The center is aimed primarily at companies from the e-commerce, logistics, distribution, and light production sectors. MLP Poznań West, with a target area of over 172 thousand sqm, constitutes a key element of the Group's development on the European logistics real estate market, and also supports global efforts to optimize supply chains through nearshoring.
The center is being built in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. Photovoltaic panel installations are being mounted on the roofs of the buildings. Infrastructure for cyclists, electric car charging stations, and insect hotels have been created on the park's premises. Large glazing has been used in the office part, which provides better access to daylight and ensures more favorable working conditions for employees.
In accordance with the “build & hold” strategy, MLP Group, after completing the construction of logistics parks, keeps them in its portfolio and manages them independently. All projects implemented by the Group are also distinguished by the very attractive location of the logistics parks, the use of built-to-suit solutions, and support for the tenant during the term of the lease agreement.
