Selective development strategy.
In 2019, Prologis continued its previously adopted strategy of selective development in key markets: Upper and Lower Silesia, Central Poland, Poznań, and the Warsaw area. At the end of last year, the total size of the Prologis portfolio in Central Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary) amounted to 4.2 million square meters, including 1.8 million square meters in Poland. Leasing reached a level of 1.25 million square meters, of which 57 percent consisted of agreements concluded on the Polish market (708,000 square meters).
Investment activity.
During the same period, the company began construction of 7 buildings with a total area of 200,000 square meters in Central Europe, including 4 buildings in Poland with a total area of 160,000 square meters. Throughout the region, 8 buildings with a total area of 189,000 square meters were completed, including 3 buildings with a total area of 71,000 square meters on the Polish market.
Environmental protection and social responsibility.
Importantly, Prologis is actively working to counteract climate change and improve the quality of life and work in warehouse buildings, using best practices and technologies. The company offers programs such as LightSmart, which utilizes LED retrofits, and provides support for the installation of solar energy devices. The developer also joined the European PARKlife project, focused on the needs of logistics park employees, building a friendly workspace.
