For the company PRYMAT sp. z o.o., the General Contractor Unibep has expanded a spice production plant in Jastrzębie-Zdrój. As part of the work carried out, a warehouse hall with a social and office section was built, along with the necessary accompanying infrastructure. Prefabricated elements were used in the facility.
The building was constructed using a prefabricated reinforced concrete structure with elements of a steel roof structure. The main structural elements of the warehouse building are single-span transverse frames with a span of up to 41.40 m. The frames consist of prefabricated reinforced concrete columns and double-pitched prestressed concrete girders. The structural walls are reinforced concrete, cast from C30/37 class concrete, reinforced with B500SP steel. The fire walls were designed using prefabricated, reinforced YTONG wall panels 25cm thick, and the curtain walls were made of sandwich panels.
Furthermore, a 136-cell photovoltaic module made using monocrystalline technology with a rated power of up to 370 Wp each was installed on the warehouse hall. The modules are characterized by a typical size not exceeding 1776mm x 1052 mm and a weight of approximately 20 kg. To convert the produced direct current into three-phase alternating current, a transformerless inverter with a rated power of 50 kW was installed.
"A particular challenge during the implementation of the investment was the work related to the foundation of the facility. Due to unfavorable geological conditions, our team had to replace the soil using stabilization and screening, i.e., using material from the excavation and improving it by mixing it with cement." – explained Jeremi Kampa, Contract Manager at Unibep SA. – "This task was completed according to plan, which is a guarantee of the durability, stability, and safety of the facility." – added the Contract Manager.
The implementation time of the investment was 16.5 months.
