Panattoni has completed construction and, together with its client, officially opened the sixth BTS facility within the K-FLEX production and warehouse campus in Uniejów. With the new 33,000 sqm warehouse, the complex in Uniejów has now exceeded 100,000 sqm and serves as an excellent base for serving customers in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the USA.
K-FLEX is a global manufacturer of flexible insulation and acoustic materials, for which the production and warehouse campus in Uniejów – approx. 50 km from Łódź – plays a strategic role in serving customers from all over the world. By delivering six buildings in a BTS formula, Panattoni is an excellent partner for K-FLEX – the developer has confirmed its broad competence in implementing solutions for production, warehouse, and logistics processes. The latest 33,000 sqm warehouse was officially opened on May 31, 2023. The event was attended by, among others: K-Flex Founder Amadeo Spinelli and its President Carlo Spinelli, K-Flex Polska Managing Director Bartłomiej Gröbner, BTS Managing Director at Panattoni Marek Foryński, Members of Parliament Paweł Bejda and Piotr Polak, Mayor of Uniejów Józef Kaczmarek, Deputy Starosta of Poddębice Piotr Mejer, and Director of the Marshal's Office in Łódź Maciej Kania.
"Today's opening is another important chapter in the history of cooperation between Panattoni and K-FLEX. Mutual understanding and trust have led to the successful completion of six BTS facilities and the creation of a strategic complex for our partner's operations. The campus in Uniejów has combined versatility, a very high standard, and a wide range of sustainable solutions," said Marek Foryński, BTS Managing Director, Panattoni.
"Today marks the culmination of another stage in the development of our Company in Poland, in which I have had the pleasure of participating for over 10 years. I am glad that we can meet here, starting the next chapter of K-FLEX's operations. However, the completion of the new warehouse expansion is not the end of our activities. We plan to continue developing, implementing further investments, and creating new jobs. There are plans to expand both production and warehouse space, thanks to which we will also be able to increase employment." – Bartłomiej Gröbner, Managing Director at K-FLEX Polska.
Uniejów, where the K-FLEX complex is being developed, is located just 50 km from the geographical center of Poland. The location in the central part of the country and approx. 10 minutes' drive to the A2 motorway allows for efficient access to key markets in Poland and Europe Furthermore, in 2019, the K-FLEX company campus became part of the Łódź Special Economic Zone, confirming the huge importance of the complex for the entire voivodeship.
Mutual benefits. Over 9 years of cooperation between K-FLEX and Panattoni, the developer has implemented both production and warehouse-logistics facilities. "Over the course of subsequent projects, we grew rapidly as a developer. When we started our cooperation 9 years ago, Panattoni had less than 3 million sqm of industrial space delivered in Europe; today it is over 20 million. The pillars of our success are precisely such cooperations as the one with K-FLEX – long-term, comprehensive, and demanding, and therefore the most developmental," concluded Marzena Tkaczuk, BTS Development Director at Panattoni.
K-FLEX drives the development of the region. Central Poland has for years been the strength of the domestic industrial space market, and last year it ranked in the top three in terms of both demand and supply. The region has recorded a rapid jump in the last decade, and the volume of modern industrial space has increased fivefold in this period. The implementation of over 100,000 sqm for K-FLEX over the last 9 years has supported the development of the region, providing approx. 1200 jobs.
