Currently, SPAR uses 8,800 sqm of space, which is designated for warehouse purposes, a cold store, a freezer, and office and social space. The SPAR logistics center will be expanded by 11,200 sqm, the vast majority of which will be allocated to the warehouse, cold store, and freezer. The modern office will also be expanded by 250 sqm. The completion of this stage is planned for the third quarter of 2022.
Currently, we have three warehouses: one of them is located near Poznań, the second in Czeladź in Silesia, and we also have a third warehouse in Gnatowice near Warsaw. Over the next three months, we intend to continue increasing delivery efficiency and expanding logistics capabilities in each of these locations. As sales grow, we will successively expand existing warehouses. We want an increasing share of SPAR store turnover to come from our logistics and purchasing structure. I estimate that in the perspective of the next five years, the three mentioned warehouses will be completely sufficient for us and will allow us to effectively and efficiently serve stores in every location that we acquire as part of our expansion in Poland – from Zgorzelec to Suwałki and Szczecin. We always have the possibility of its further expansion, and we are able to deliver new space in just 7 months from the moment of signing the contract.
