Prologis has once again come up with an unusual initiative. It decided to revitalize one of the facilities located at Prologis Park Łódź. On the walls of a huge water tank, Alex Maksiov created a mural of his own design featuring an image of a mermaid emerging from a sea wave. The 8 by 10 mural greets everyone arriving at Prologis Park Łódź. "When I saw the large water tank, I immediately knew that it should feature an image of a mermaid. In my opinion, this is the perfect combination of the water that fills the tank and the location where it is situated, which is the city of Łódź. The mermaid evokes surprise, but also sympathy. And that is the effect I wanted to achieve," says Alex Maksiov.
This is another Alex Maksiov is a renowned artist specializing in creating 3D graphics. His portfolio includes, among others, the largest 3D street painting in Ukraine with an area of 457 sq. m. and the largest mural in Kyiv (16 floors). He is a winner of many international awards. Since the outbreak of the war, he has been creating in Poland under the auspices of the Łódź-based Urban Forms foundation.
The Łódź mural is an initiative that fits into the PARKlife™ concept implemented by Prologis in all its logistics parks. As part of it, activities are carried out aimed at creating a user-friendly space. Hence, among other things, green areas located in the parks, outdoor mini-libraries with a rich selection of bestsellers, and the use of solutions supporting low-emission transport, such as bicycle repair stations or electric car charging stations.
Regardless of whether it is about building an offer for our clients, undertaking new initiatives with our employees in mind, or caring for the space that surrounds us, innovations are… Made in Prologis.
