The "Toruń-Wschód" Investment and Logistics Zone is growing

Another investor has presented visualizations of the planned buildings: a warehouse and production hall with a service section and office and social facilities. The company Waran will carry out the assembly of modular residential units on Świdnicka Street.

The investor purchased two plots of land with an area of approximately 5,000 m² from the City of Toruń in September 2020. The parcels are located in a 3-hectare complex, divided into smaller properties. These areas are designated for services that can be conducted by companies from the SME sector. The design of the planned facilities for the company Waran was prepared by the Archirum Design Studio. The investment includes the construction of a warehouse and assembly hall with a service section, along with office and social facilities and technical infrastructure, as well as the construction of retaining walls on Świdnicka Street in Toruń. The designed buildings will consist of 3 parts: a single-story warehouse hall, partially two-story (in the social and office section) with a building area of approximately 2800m2; an assembly hall with office and social facilities with an area of approximately 1300 m2; and a four-story service hall with an area of approximately 780 m2. Furthermore, the construction of loading docks, a transformer station, a gatehouse, and a parking lot for passenger cars and trucks is planned on the plots.

The warehouse section will be used for storing semi-finished products and finished products: modular residential units. In the assembly section, the technological process of assembling residential units made of steel profiles and finished with building materials will be carried out. The service section will house vehicle renovation workshop rooms and office and social rooms. Part of the building will have a basement, where an underground parking lot for passenger cars will be located. The start of construction is planned for the second half of the year.

The area of the Toruń-Wschód Investment and Logistics Zone enjoys considerable interest from entrepreneurs. Properties nearby have been purchased by, among others, Panattoni Europe, TZMO, Rollstick, Exodus, Pulscenter, and MGB. This is due to the attractive location – the proximity of the A1 motorway junction and good communication with national roads No. 91, 15, 10. The entire zone covers nearly 40 ha, of which over 7 ha is dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises. City planners have designated these areas for service and production facilities and warehouses. Przelot Street, prepared by the Municipal Roads Authority, is fully serviced. As part of an EU project, water supply, sanitary, and storm sewage networks were laid. Road lighting also appeared. In total, over 2.5 million PLN was invested in this area. After the completion of the project, the city supplemented the infrastructure by paving a 610-meter section of Świdnicka Street.
