The Belgian logistics operator Katoen Natie is consistently developing its logistics center in Kutno. Over the past five years, the complex has expanded by three new warehouse halls with a total area of over 41,000 sqm, and the company has also significantly increased its bulk product storage capabilities.

Kutno is an increasingly important logistics center

Katoen Natie has been operating in Poland since 2020, when it acquired a logistics complex in Kutno with an area of 40,000 sqm along with a silo farm. Since then, the company has been systematically expanding its operational base, responding to the growing demand for logistics services in Central and Eastern Europe.

The new investments are being carried out within the Kutno Subzone of the Łódź Special Economic Zone.

Three new halls and greater silo capacity

As part of the complex's development, three modern warehouse halls were built with a total area exceeding 41,000 sqm.

The operator has also expanded the infrastructure for storing bulk products. The total capacity of the silos has increased to over 28,000 tons, which means an increase of about 300% compared to the pre-investment state.

The expansion also includes:

  • the construction of a battery of 80 new silos,
  • the development of technical infrastructure,
  • the construction of a network of internal roads connecting all facilities.

Expansion carried out in stages

The first new high-bay warehouse was commissioned in 2022. Subsequent stages of the investment were completed in 2023 and 2025, systematically increasing the operational potential of the logistics center.

Thanks to this, the Kutno hub handles an increasingly larger volume of goods and develops the storage and distribution capabilities of products for clients from the petrochemical sector.

Central Poland remains attractive for logistics

The expansion of the Katoen Natie center confirms the growing importance of Kutno as one of the most important logistics hubs in central Poland. The convenient location and developing infrastructure attract further investments, and companies present in the region are systematically increasing the scale of their operations.

The new halls and expanded infrastructure will allow the operator to serve clients even more efficiently and develop its operations in the markets of Central and Eastern Europe.
