Accolade is growing in Bydgoszcz

Accolade is growing in Bydgoszcz. The target investment value for four modern warehouse parks with a total area of over 240,000 sqm is over 200 million euros. At the same time, the investor is launching a new project worth 40 million euros in nearby Piła. Thus, Accolade is becoming a regional leader, owning almost 40% of the total modern warehouse space in Bydgoszcz and the surrounding area.

The Accolade Group has been active in Bydgoszcz since 2016, ranking among the most important investors in the region. The first two Bydgoszcz warehouse parks have a total area of 87,000 sqm and are fully leased by leading companies in the logistics and e-commerce sectors. The third complex is under expansion and its current, fully leased area is 34,000 sqm. Ultimately, this park will reach 44,000 sqm. The latest project, located in Lisie Ogon near Bydgoszcz, will consist of another three buildings with a total area of 110,000 sqm. The first tenants will move in during the second quarter of 2022.

"Bydgoszcz is a great example of how Accolade chooses its locations. The city has over 300,000 inhabitants, possesses developed infrastructure and industrial traditions. It is a large industrial, commercial, and logistics hub and has a perfectly developed transport junction. Additionally, as an academic and scientific center, it offers access to a qualified workforce, which counts for a lot for us. Thanks to our investments, we have created jobs for over 1320 people in the region; this number will grow as the parks develop." - says Michał Białas, Managing Director of Accolade in Poland

"A good climate for business and the increasingly better infrastructural accessibility of the city make Bydgoszcz an attractive market for industrial real estate, also in terms of capital investments. This additionally encourages investors in warehouse and logistics space to implement further projects. Our location continues to gain value and is appreciated by international players." – says Edyta Wiwatowska, President of the Management Board of the Bydgoszcz Regional Development Agency.

Such great success of the Bydgoszcz industrial complexes has paved the way for further expansion in northern Poland - an investment worth 40 million euros will be built in Piła. The project will consist of two buildings with a total area of 44,000 sqm, most of which were leased even before construction began. The city is a developing center for outsourcing services and shared service centers, where over 8,500 small, medium, and large companies operate.

"We are pleased that by creating a "multi-let" type industrial park in the city, we are contributing to the transformation of the region and providing modern infrastructure, thus shaping the future of regional business" - adds Michał Białas.

The Bydgoszcz parks are among the "greenest" in Accolade's Polish portfolio. One of them was built on a post-industrial site after former chemical plants, and beehives were built in the garden of another. Accolade also uses an innovative "double recycling" approach - the parks have been equipped with small architecture elements made of a unique recycled textile composite, and with e-waste bins, allowing tenants to easily return used electrical equipment and batteries. Furthermore, they feature biologically diverse greenery, LED lighting, and deckchairs for employees - all in line with Accolade's mission to be a good neighbor and a responsible, long-term investor.
