ILS Sp. z o.o. - the logistics operator for Grupa Inter Cars SA - has chosen Panattoni Park Sosnowiec I twice in the last three months. The company has leased over 22,000 sq m, and the cooperation with the developer is a significant support for the group's rapid development. The new investment will become a buffer facility for the existing main warehouse of ILS Sp. z o.o. in the region. In this location, Panattoni has delivered over 360,000 sq m of modern warehouse and logistics space, as well as two projects in the BTS formula, with a total area of over 130,000 sq m.
In 2021 alone, tenants from the automotive sector leased nearly 200,000 sq m from Panattoni, and there is no shortage of more this year. One of them is ILS Sp. z o.o., the logistics operator for Grupa Inter Cars SA - the largest distributor of automotive parts in Central and Eastern Europe. Within less than 3 months, the company signed two lease agreements for over 22,000 sq m and is currently moving into Panattoni Park Sosnowiec I. The group, which has nearly 500 branches in Poland and Europe, recorded an 18.5 percent year-on-year increase in consolidated revenues in April this year, and in the first four months of the year, it generated revenues 23.9 percent higher than a year earlier. Panattoni proved to be an excellent partner in the company's rapid development, providing a buffer warehouse for the company's main facility located in the city as part of the Sosnowiec park.
"The automotive market, after the slowdown caused by the pandemic, is developing very quickly, and Panattoni is ready to support this direction by providing tailored space. Grupa Inter Cars SA is an excellent example of a Polish business that is conquering foreign markets, and we are very pleased that we are contributing to this. By delivering millions of sq m in the country, we see that more and more local businesses are reaching international scale, and it remains for the rapidly growing warehouse market to provide the necessary facilities for this development." – says Justyna Konon Justyna Konon Kononowicz, Senior Leasing Manager at Panattoni.
ILS Sp. z o.o. will benefit from the park's attractive location – close to its own main warehouse. Furthermore, both the S1 expressway, which leads all the way to the Slovak border in Zwardoń, and the A4 motorway, which is part of the III Pan-European Transport Corridor and connects the south-western and south-eastern borders, run near the complex. Additionally, Panattoni Park Sosnowiec I is just an hour's drive from the Czech border. The investment is located less than 16 km from Katowice and just over 70 km from Kraków, and both international airports can be reached from it in less than an hour.
Unique in many respects. Once completed, Panattoni Park Sosnowiec I will be one of the largest industrial investments in the region. Furthermore, the complex is also a revolutionary project in terms of sustainable construction. Last year, the last of the delivered buildings was the first in Poland to receive an "Excellent" rating in the BREEAM International New Construction system. The investment uses numerous energy-saving solutions - allowing for a reduction in CO2 emissions by up to half - and water-saving solutions - a reduction of over 65 percent compared to baseline values. Moreover, the complex is being built on the site of former post-mining excavations and serves as a model for implementation in the spirit of a circular economy.
The project for Grupa Inter Cars SA in Sosnowiec is not the company's first collaboration with the developer. The enterprise has been using space at Panattoni Park Lublin for over 5 years, and last year it extended its lease agreement until 2028. A strong point of the Lublin investment is its location near, among others, the S-19 route, which is part of the Via Carpatia route under construction - a pan-European transport corridor connecting the north and south of Europe from Lithuania – through Białystok, Lublin, Rzeszów - to Greece.
