Hillwood expands the Łódź Górna warehouse center

Hillwood Polska has started the expansion of the Łódź Górna logistics park. The second hall will provide tenants with nearly 42,000 sqm, and its completion is planned for the first quarter of next year. Hillwood Łódź Górna is a warehouse park that will ultimately consist of two buildings with a total area of over 115,000 sqm. The facility is located on Józefów street, in the southern part of Łódź and in the immediate vicinity of the Górna Route, which will connect Łódź with the A1 motorway.

– The location of the Hillwood Łódź Górna logistics center is gaining value. It already provides efficient access to the S8 expressway. Additionally, the construction of one of the most important road investments in the region is nearing completion - the Górna Route leading to the A1 motorway. The next stage of the road, which is a joint investment of the city of Łódź and the voivodeship, will connect the southern part of the city with the A1 motorway. Thus, the new road will further facilitate transit traffic in the area, and according to announcements, it is to be ready as early as November this year – says Jan Kaliński, Head of Business Development at Hillwood Polska. – An important argument for companies renting warehouse space is also the location of our investment within the city, which allows employees to easily commute by public transport.

- The logistics industry is very important for Łódź. Thanks to its location and the closed ring of motorways, it has become one of the most important destinations for warehouse developers in Poland and Europe. It is gratifying that the largest market participants trust our city. New jobs and tax revenues for the city budget have a significant impact on the development of Łódź. I am very pleased that Hillwood is developing in Łódź, which means that they have trusted us and our development strategy. I believe that the Górna Route will contribute to fulfilling the investor's ambitions and aspirations, and will also be an important point on the map of Łódź - says Adam Pustelnik, First Deputy Mayor of the City of Łódź

The Hillwood Łódź Górna investment will ultimately consist of two high-bay warehouses, with a storage height of 10 m. The first, already operating warehouse has an area of over 73,000 sqm, and the one currently under construction – about 42,000 sqm.

– Central Poland is the third largest and most important warehouse market in the country. The city of Łódź itself also plays a significant role among logistics destinations in all of Poland. As Hillwood Polska, we have for many years appreciated the excellent location and connectivity of this region, engaging in subsequent projects throughout Central Poland – says Jan Kaliński, Head of Business Development at Hillwood Polska.

In Łódź alone, this is another project by Hillwood Polska built recently. In the second quarter of this year, the developer completed the construction of the Hillwood Łódź Chocianowice logistics park, located just 8 km from the city center – near public transport stops and the Chocianowice tram depot. The new park delivered 97,000 sqm of modern space to the market. As part of the project, Hillwood also built a road with a roundabout, which directly connects national road No. 14 with the Pietrzak Roundabout.
